Description
The synapse between inner hair cells and auditory nerve fiber dendrites in rats shows large EPSCs, which are either monophasic or multiphasic. EPSCs were deconvolved to allow analysis of individual releases of neurotransmitter. The results were used to analyze and test models of synaptic release in the hair cell.
